About Waterfalls of Wellness Healing

Waterfalls of Wellness Healing Network was created by Jennifer “Jenn” Raichlin, Certified Wellness Coach, Public Speaker, and Inspirationalist. Her life-long self-study of herbal and natural medicines as well as her natural abilities and desires to inspire others to better wellness came to fruition in this form in the fall of 2009. The experiences of life have been prominent in helping her to realize this dream and in providing the individuals and resources necessary for this healing network to be brought to those seeking alternative and complementary therapies.

As a young adult, Jenn watched as her mother battled with breast cancer, chronic depression, and the first of three major back surgeries. It was in this time period that she also watched her grandfather die of colon cancer. Beginning to understand the great importance of individual wellness responsibility she was led to begin exploring the benefits of natural medicines, basic nutrition, and exercise.

Shortly after moving to East Tennessee in the summer of 2000 to pursue another dream of opening her own bed & breakfast business, the learning journey continued in a series of challenges that led her through two unfulfilling jobs to her first layoff. Turning “lemons into lemonade” at this point had become a way of life for Jenn and she saw this as a wonderful gift to obtain a desired business degree. This seemed to be destiny because even in her first job at the age of 14, she was promoted to store manager in only a matter of about 5 months.

She completed her Associates Degree in Business Management Technology in May of 2005, graduating Summa Cum Laude and receiving a Certificate of Recognition as the most Outstanding Student in Small Business Management. She was also inducted into the Alpha Sigma Lambda and Phi Theta Kappa honor societies. She earned an award for the Most Distinguished Chapter Officer of Phi Theta Kappa holding both the Secretary position and the position of Newsletter/Publicity Chairperson. Learning to multitask had become a way of life.

She was thrilled that upon her graduation she obtained a position as Business Manager of a newly formulated holistic medical clinic in Bristol, Tennessee. It was during this time that she gained most of her direct knowledge of alternative and complementary therapies. However, as the months passed by she found herself to feel more and more dissatisfied with the path her life was taking. It was also at this time that she began to understand that she had been led into this environment not to utilize her newly earned degree but to experience her own healing journey. It also seemed apparent that this was a great opportunity to introduce her mother to the realm of holistic healing. This started her mom on a path of healing that has aided her through two more back surgeries and beyond. At this time Jenn had also become so intensely driven by trying to help this business succeed that she found her own health to be declining in spite of the healing environment she was in.

In October of 2007 she left to find a less demanding job where she could continue to explore her own healing as well as take time to explore future opportunities. While in this job she managed to grow exponentially in many ways and even helped initiate a local women’s empowerment network. This group was formed to assist women of all ages in building self-esteem and personal development. The Women’s Empowerment Network of Bristol continues to meet monthly and hosts an annual celebration for International Women’s Day.

Then in August 2009 due to economic downturn she learned that she would again face a layoff. Having now experienced enough of her life being decided by other individual’s business decisions, and feeling an overwhelming desire to move forward into a completely new area of faith she chose to follow her own path. The many deep connections she had with life-giving healers and the knowledge that Jenn had continued to gain in holistic therapies were the initial catalysts to forming some type of healing network in the Bristol area. The women in the empowerment group had been telling her for two years that she had a great gift to inspire and lead others and many of the healing practitioners she knew were anxious to work with Jenn again in a healing environment. Personally, Jenn had always had a dream of working closely with individuals to help guide them to better wellbeing. An opportunity to obtain a certification as a Wellness Coach fell right into the equation. Another long time dream fulfilled. It seemed that everything pointed in the right direction for a healing network to begin formulating and Waterfalls of Wellness Healing Network was created.

“It always has been and always will be my strongest desire to connect individuals with the most logical, most natural, most inspiring, and most healing experiences of their life. Having walked through my own healing, I know how hard taking that first step can be for an individual in pain (physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual). I also understand how difficult it can be to admit that one needs healing and continue following the steps required to heal. I want to be there to help and guide those individuals as they make their journey. If I can succeed, so can they. And I want to be the person to inspire them to reaching their dream…whatever that may be.”
